Black History is American History.
Our current leaders are picking up a dispute that is older than the United States itself. Before the US Declaration of Independence were signed, wealthy white men have been scheming to withhold or dilute the votes of BIPOC, whether through lies (false claims of voter fraud as justification for voter ID laws) or cheating (i.e. gerrym@ndering).
Today’s wealthy white men are showing their true colors and continuing to try to erase not just any political power that BIPOC have built, but also to erase us from documents and staff position throughout the government.
